Sushant Singh Rajput is no more. It is sad but true. The actor who was just 34 was reportedly suffering from clinical depression.
This is devastating. Sushant Singh Rajput is no more. The actor made a successful transition from TV to films and it is sad to know that he committed suicide. Mumbai Police has said that it is death by hanging and has urged people to seek help if they feel depressed. Sushant Singh Rajput was the man who won us over as Manav from Pavitra Rishta. He had caught our attention when he played the role of a mechanic in that iconic show. As a young woman, I was one amongst the millions who was hooked onto the show for a very long time. Sushant Singh Rajput need not do much on the screen. His smile and expressive eyes did everything. I totally adored Manav and was so hooked onto it that even during an official party, I was busy watching the serial in my hotel room. My colleagues made fun of me but I did not care a bit. Over the years, the admiration grew as I saw him successfully transiting from TV to films. The love and respect grew seeing the kind of effort he put into every role. He literally lived the role of Mansoor in Kedarnath and Anni in Chhichhore. His last film was a truly uplifting one. He told us that suicide is not an option come what may. I had the chance to interview him for Kedarnath and he bowled us over with his charm. Every reporter would talk about how he gave really long answers but it was a delight to hear him talk. He had a totally different perspective about everything. I remember one senior journalist complained that she had her birthday on that date and she had to wait long for him. Sushant cheered her up in minutes. That smile could melt anyone’s heart but sadly we will only see it in pictures. Rest in peace, Sushant!
