Ali Abbas Zafar – Age 33 – 3 releases (3 Successful, 0 Flops)

When Ali Abbas Zafar made his debut with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, it appeared to be a safe outing with the director hitting gold with a romcom affair. From making a musical love story, he turned it all upside down with Gunday which had an altogether different texture, hence demonstrating his range. Now with Sultan, he has managed to impress critics as well as audience as the film has emerged as a Blockbuster.

Ayan Mukerji – Age 32 – 2 releases (2 Successful, 0 Flops)

Youngest of the lot, Ayan Mukerji has made two distinct films in the form of Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. Confessing that he was unhappy with ‘just decent’ business of the former, Ayan was super thrilled that his Ranbir-Deepika starrer went on to garner six times the moolah of his debut directorial affair. An insider who has quite a few connections within Bollywood families, he is here to stay.

Mohit Suri – Age 35 – 10 releases (7 Successful, 3 Flops)

Maintaining an average of one film every year with a good success record, Mohit Suri has accumulated an impressive repertoire. Awarapan, Crook and his last release Hamari Adhuri Kahani are his only lows. Maneesh Sharma – Age 35 – 4 releases (3 Successful, 1 Flop)

A Delhi boy, Maneesh Sharma showed in his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat how he understood the city well. Later, even though his Ladies v/s Ricky Behl did better business, the reviews as well as audience appreciation was mixed. It was a much better response though with daringly different Shuddh Desi Romance that questioned the sanctity of marriage. However, his big league film Fan flopped commercially.

Sabbir Khan – Age 36 – 3 releases (3 Successful, 0 Flops)

When he made his debut with Kambakkth Ishq, no one challenged the fact that he had a definite eye for visuals. The film saw scathing response from the critics but very good opening at the Box Office helped it sail through. Later, he made Heropanti which went on to be a clean hit. This year, he scored a hat-trick with Baaghi. Sabbir has been delivering successes on a consistent note and industry is taking a note.

Siddharth Anand – Age 38 – 5 releases (5 Successful, 0 Flops)

Though his films have garnered mixed reviews, what stays consistent is a polished look and some fabulous foreign locations. No wonder, his Bang Bang embarked on a global ‘darshan’!
