Looks like Karan Johar’s equation with close friends in the industry is changing drastically. First, he made it to the headlines for his fallout with best friend Kajol and now we hear the recent one to give him cold shoulder is none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
While there were reports of the two having some differences post ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, but the rift became apparent when Karan gave Aishwarya’s father’s funeral a miss!
For those who are not aware, Aishwarya’s father Krishnaraj Rai breathed his last recently and the funeral was attended by a host of B-town celebrities to pay their last respects.
However, Aishwarya’s good friend Karan Johar was nowhere to be seen. Not just that, Karan did not show up even at Krishnaraj Rai’s prayer meet, which has raised many eyebrows.

A source told India.com, “Aishwarya and Karan share a very close bond, which is why everyone expected him to be by Aishwarya’s side at the funeral and the prayer meet.”
Now, reports of Aishwarya being miffed with KJo are doing the rounds and at the same time, it is also being said that the rift between the two began during the promotions of ADHM. Reportedly, Karan did not allow Aishwarya to promote ADHM without Anushka, who was then busy shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Rehnuma starring Shah Rukh Khan.
This didn’t go down well with Aishwarya and her displeasure was confirmed when gave cold shoulder to KJO and turned down another film offered to her post ADHM. The two haven’t been on good terms, ever since. And now, Karan’s absence during Aishwarya’s toughest time only proves that all is not well between the two!
