Bhatt scion, Alia Bhatt is at the peak of her career. The actress who has tasted box office success and fame at the tender age of 24 has impressed the audience and critics both with her impeccable acting skills. After doing films like ‘Highway’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Dear Zindagi’, Alia has high hopes riding on her. And guess what, she may have just landed the most important role of her career till date.
If reports are anything to go by, Alia’s father and an immensely talented filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt is planning to make a sequel of his 1991 blockbuster ‘Sadak.’ The film starred Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh’s eldest daughter Pooja Bhatt in the lead role. A report in DNA said that Alia Bhatt is likely to be cast in the new movie.
The report further elaborated that the sequel shall focus on Alia’s character, who might be seen playing Sanjay and Pooja’s daughter. Sanjay will be on a rescue mission for his daughter, the report adds.
For those living under thr rock, ‘Sadak’ was the second highest grosser of 1991 is best remembered for Sadashiv Amrapurkar’s portrayal of a brothel owner.
On the other hand, Mahesh Bhatt gave up direction after Zakhm (1999) while his 1982 hit film Arth is being remade in Pakistan.
As far as the actors are concerned, Alia is on a break after her latest super-hit is outing ‘Badrinath ki Dulhania’ while Sanjay Dutt is busy with ‘Bhoomi’.
