It’s a rather special year for Bollywood since so many B-Town actresses will grace the 71st Cannes Film Festival. After Huma Qureshi, Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukonealready made heads turn at the French Riviera, it is Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s turn to sizzle. Is there anyone who hated Kangana’s debut at Cannes? She looked ravishing in her black Sabyasachi Mukherjee saree and the way she paired it with a pearl necklace and bob hair was commendable. The Queen actress was soon followed by Deepika Padukone, who had a rather ‘wow’ and ‘blah’ outings in the French city. DP chose three different looks in one day and we were sold! Though it had mixed response in our hearts, we were glad she tried something different that’s so not her taste. We now wait to see Deepika and Kangana’s outings on the red carpet that usually steal all the thunder. But wait! Will the ladies cross paths once they grace the red carpet?
The Simran actress confirmed on social media that she’ll be walking the red carpet today but there’s no word from Deepika Padukone yet. Will the actresses meet and greet each other on the red carpet? The chances are very unlikely since two actresses have never really ‘walked’ the red carpet together in the past. They might have made appearances at the film festival but they have never really walked at the same time. So the chances of Deepika and Kangana coming face-to-face are very bleak. But just in case they do, can we expect them to pose for cameras? Or a selfie at least? ‘Cos a picture of them together will be worth a million bucks.
For the ones who don’t know, Deepika and Kangana were never really fond of each other and their cold war is rather obvious in the industry. While the Tamasha actress believed that her ‘fight’ with Kangana was irrelevant and one sided, Kangana thought DP was desperate to paint a parallel reality. Though the cold war doesn’t seem to end anytime soon, we hope the actresses take a chill pill and enjoy some leisure time on the French soil instead.
