Well, Diwali has come early for fans of Dhanush as the actor just released the second poster of Maari 2. He is back as the naughty lovable don and his gold necklace is all that you need to see on Dhanteras. The Vada Chennai actor has his swag on point as he poses in a dhoti, blue vest and a printed shirt. Glares and chunky jewellery finish off his local don look. Maari was a huge hit, which is why the makers thought about the sequel. We can see the twirly moustache, which is the iconic look from the film. Dhanush is a local goon who annoys everyone in the film. It is directed by Balaji Mohan. Sai Pallavi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are also part of the action flick.
Balaji Mohan struck gold with Maari after Vaaya Moodi Pesavum tanked at the box office. It is produced by Wunderbar Films. In this film, Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer. Malayalam actor Tovina Thomas is the main baddie in Maari 2. He told IANS, “After ‘Tharangam’ and ‘Maradona’, this will be my third collaboration with Dhanush. I’m really excited to be part of the project. I’m looking forward to start working on this project.” Sai Pallavi is the leading lady. There are other unique aspects like Prabhudheva has choreographed a song for Dhanush and Illayaraja is singing for him. Dhanush seems to be on a roll of late.
