Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be soon seen in a groundbreaking role. He is portraying the powerful political figure, Bal Thackeray. The shooting for the film, titled Thackeray, is going on in full swing. Here is an update from the sets of the same. The paparazzi were able to click pictures of the actor in his attire, giving a shot. He can be seen speaking at an event being organised by Muslim League.
The scene we see here seems to be a very important one. Back in 1979, Shiv Sena and Muslim League joined hands for a brief alliance. This was a huge news back then as both the parties were seen as each other’s arch-enemies. Bal Thackeray had even shared the stage with Ghulam Mohammed Banatwala, IUML leader. And it might be this very scene that is being shot here. Well, looking at the perfection that is being reflected through pictures, we can’t wait to watch the movie.
“It’s an honour and pride to portray the real king of the country on screen. Here comes the teaser of ‘Thackeray’. Hearty thanks to Shri Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhijit Panse,” Nawazuddin wrote, on his social media page while sharing the teaser.
During a video interaction at the launch, Nawazuddin said he was fortunate to be a part of the film and in fluent Marathi, the actor added that “people questioned on my ability to speak the language. Well, with his blessing, I think I am learning it to speak fluently.” Directed by Abhijit Panse, written by Sanjay Raut, the film will be releasing on January 23, 2019, in Hindi and Marathi.
