B-Town is all about celebrations after Karan Johar announced the birth of his twin kids through surrogacy. While you’re getting used to and accepting the idea of surrogacy to become parents, men in Bollywood are introducing you to newer things. After Tusshar Kapoor, Karan Johar decided to become a single father through surrogacy. Now a lot of you might argue that this is some new kind of trend in Bollywood but let me tell you that it’s not a ‘trend’ to adopt kids and it’s completely healthy to be a single parent. In fact, a lot of celebrities in the west have also opted for surrogacy.
Ricky Martin is also a single father who had twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, through surrogacy in 2008. A lot of Hollywood couples have also turned to IVF surrogacy to complete their family. Lion’s actress Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban also chose a surrogate mother in 2011 and are now parents to their daughter, Faith Margaret. While West got used to the idea of surrogacy and adoption way before us, it’s nice to see that some Indians are breaking stereotypes and myths to embrace parenthood.
