Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati has already become the talk of the town.The film has made headlines even before filming thanks to the cast. Well SLB has finally cast Ranveer Singh as the rebellious Sultan Allauddin Khilji, Deepika Padukone as beautiful and powerful Padmavati and Shahid Kapoor as Raja Raval Ratan Singh. But it was not an easy task for Bhansali to bring Shahid on board. Yes!
Firstly the actor demanded major changes in the script as he plays the second lead. He asked the filmmaker to make his role as strong as Ranveer who is the first lead and SLB happily agreed to do so. This also created a rift between the filmmaker and RS. And now Bollywoodlife has got an exclusive scoop that SLB not only changed the script but even paid a huge amount to Shahid for playing Deepika’s husband.
A source exclusively told us, “Shahid will be paid around Rs 8-10 crore for Padmavati which is the highest he has got till date. Usually Sasha gets paid around Rs 6-7 crore, but for this film he is getting a higher amount and the reason behind it is that he is playing the second lead. Also there was no other actor who was ready to play the role of Raja Raval Ratan Singh and SLB was left with no option but to pay this huge amount to Sasha”.
