Sonam Kapoor is all set embark on a new journey, internationally. The actress will be represented by a popular talent agency in Hollywood. She took to her social media platforms to announce the news. So, we guess the West should get ready to be bedazzled by the Bollywood diva.
Sonam took to her Instagram and shared the screenshot a news piece, with the caption “Super duper chuffed to sign on with #unitedtalentagency ! I know this is going to be an epic partnership!”
We are sure in no time Sonam will bag a few projects in Hollywood. This announcement comes out of nowhere. We had absolutely no clue what was cooking. Round of applause for Sonam for she can be package of surprises!
The Kapoors are not a new name to Hollywood. Sonam Kapoor’s father Anil Kapoor has made a mar for himself in the west. He has starred in films like Slumdog Millionaire and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. He also starred in a recurring role in a season of the hit thriller 24, which he later remade in India. We bet Hollywood will welcome Anil’s daughter with arms wide open.

Already two Bollywood actresses are making it big in Hollywood. Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. PeeCee is starring in the lead role in the hit ABC thriller Quantico, and is also starring in Baywatch opposite Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson. On the other hand, Deepika is going to star in xXx: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel. Deepika was also offered a role in Vin’s Furious 7 which she had to turn down due to prior commitments. Guess now the competition won’t be just limited between the two actresses, but Sonam is also set to join the race.
Sonam has been a regular at Cannes Film Festival and hence is not a new name to the international circuit. Her last release in Bollywood was the hijack thriller Neerja, which received commercial success and critical acclaim. She is prepping up for Veere Di Wedding, a chick flick, in which she stars alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar.
