One of the most promising commercial movies scheduled for the year is the John Abraham and Varun Dhawan starer Dishoom. This year started off slowly for the box office, until of course Sultan was released. Dishoom looks like the typical masala movie, with the right combination of action, drama and romance, which is expected to raise the box office numbers. While many are excited to see John and Varun’s chemistry or Parineeti’s sexy item song, we just can’t wait to watch Akshaye Khanna make a comeback on the big screen.
Akshaye Khanna will be appearing on the big screen after a long break of four years, and this time he’s playing the bad guy in Dishoom.
From the naive soldier in Border to probably the most sorted friend in Dil Chahta Hai, Akshaye has won many hearts with the diverse roles he’s played onscreen. He was last seen in Gali Gali Chor Hai, which failed to make a mark at the box office. We’re hoping Dishoom gives his career the much needed punch!
In his recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Akshaye spilled the beans about his time away from the screen. He spoke without any inhibitions about future plans and rumours regarding his alcohol addiction, marriage and move towards direction/production. He explained this break from Bollywood at length and he did it with nothing but honesty.
