Secret Superstar is scheduled to release on October 19.
Wasn’t this expected? Ever since the ‘news’ leaked out that CBFC was very pleased with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar (with a report even saying that the Board members found it better than the Ajay Devgn starrer), our expectations about the movie were now sky high. But then Aamir Khan has never let us down since Dhoom 3, did he? Aamir Khan had held a special screening of the movie for his friends and close associates. So there were Anil Kapoor, batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others. Even the Dangal team was present to give support with Zaira Wasim who played the lead in Secret Superstar (as well as a younger Geeta Phogat in Dangal). Neeraj Tiwari, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurrana were present at the screening too.
And it looks like Secret Superstar, directed by Advait Chandan, has left nearly everyone suitably impressed. Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others have taken to Twitter to show their praise for the movie. Here are some of their tweets,
