Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety continues to rake in the moolah at the global box office
Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar-starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety continues to rake in the moolah at the global box office. Despite several new releases and facing stiff competition from Ajay Devgn’s Raid, the romantic comedy remained rock-steady at the ticket windows. Till now, SKTKS has grossed Rs 136 crore (nett. Rs 101.69 crore) in India and Rs 15.50 crore in the international markets. It now stands with the grand total of Rs 151.50 crore. Despite not featuring any known faces, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has done tremendous business globally, in fact, the film has performed better than many Bollywood biggies like Pad Man, Aiyaary and Kaalakaandi.
Coming to the domestic market, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is currently the second highest grosser of the year after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. The film is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series along with Ankur Garg (Luv Films). Apart from the lead cast, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety also stars Alok Nath, Virendra Saxena and Ishita Raj Sharma in pivotal roles.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety marks the fourth collaboration between director Luv Ranjan and actors Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha after Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akash Vaani and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. Talking about the grand success, actor Kartik recently said, “I cannot express how happy I am with its success. The box office numbers and critical acclaim that the film has received is great. People have told me that they have watched the film seven times. Such reactions are coming in the industry after a long time and being a part of such a film is great. I am happy with the success of the film.”
