There’s definitely no love here. Taylor Swift, 26, and Katy Perry, 31, ran into each other at Drake‘s, 30, huge birthday celebration in Los Angeles on Oct. 23, and it couldn’t have been more awkward. At one point, “Taylor walked by Katy and Katy’s people laughed at Taylor, but she brushed them off and walked away,” a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. Ouch. This incident definitely gives a whole new meaning to Tay’s hit 2014 song “Shake It Off!” We just hope that Taylor’s own squad who came with her, like Karlie Kloss, 24, and the Haim sisters, were there to stick up for their bestie.
As we previously told you, Drake’s huge bash at Delilah in West Hollywood — which also included French Montana, Shay Mitchell and Jamie Foxx — also featured an appearance Taylor’s ex, John Mayer, 39. Not only did she famously write her song “Dear John” about him after their breakup, but Katy went on to date the hunky singer after Tay! Seriously, we can’t even imagine all the drama that must have happened in addition to Katy’s squad dissing the “Bad Blood” singer.
In case you forgot about why the feuding pair have bad blood in their first place, it all started when Taylor admitted that she wrote “Bad Blood” about a friendship that went bad. After fans figured out that Katy was the ex-friend behind the jam, things escalated — and the “Roar” songstress even threw shade at Taylor during her 2015 Super Bowl performance. It seems things really are still far from fine between the two of them, since Katy’s friends shaded Tay at Drake’s celebration.
