Vivian Dsena opens upto to Bollywood Life about his high rank on the Asia’s sexiest men list
Vivian Dsena has been adjudged as the fourth Sexiest Asian Man of 2017 and this is the sixth time the actor has found himself in the list of 50 Sexiest Men list. People are loving him as Harman from Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. The actor has also won the Best Actor Award in the ITA Awards 2017 and is on a professional high. He has a huge following on social media but is not very active on it. According to him, he feels that people really connect to him as he projects himself the way he is. The actor is a fitness enthusiast but not someone to chase six packs. Excerpts from an interview…
How does it feel to be part of this list?
I am really thankful and grateful to my fans that they voted for me and showed so much love. This is the sixth time in a row they have put me on the list. People had this perception that only a good body means sexy and I have not had six-pack abs since so many years and neither I intend to unless required for a role. A good personality is more important, it’s all about how you carry yourself.
What is the best compliment that you have got for the way you look?
People have said that whatever I wear I look comfortable in and that’s the whole idea. I don’t wear something which I am not comfortable in. If you are not comfortable with what you are wearing that you are faking it and fake can never be accepted rightfully by people so I guess you got to be comfortable in what you are wearing and how you carry yourself. Period.
Do you being good looking is an important part of being an actor?
I don’t think so because I don’t think that only good looks can make an actor’s life. You need to be good in acting as well. Being a good actor is more important than looking good. In India where television being such a big medium you connect with the audience eventually, there are so many good looking people but ultimately we all know that there are only top 10 good actors in the industry. Looks are important but they are not mandatory.
What is the one thing that you love about your appearance and what do you think you can work on?
I could have kept working on my body but due to the injury, I couldn’t. I can still look much better and fitter which I was during Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. The injury set back did not let me workout and run and I think I will bounce back and recover. As far as my whole personality is concerned people say my eyes are the most important part of my personality and I emote through my eyes.
What is your style statement? Would you ever choose fashion over comfort?
Never in my life. For me fashion is something which I am comfortable in and all about what’s in trend.
What does sexy mean to you?
Having a good personality, carrying yourself well and having a good aura when you walk.
What is the response you are getting for Harman at this stage?
People are loving it and every girl for that matter in life will wish to have a husband like Harman because he doesn’t discriminate between a normal girl and a transgender.

Scarlett Johansson. I think she is damn hot and a great artiste too. I loved her film Lucy (2014).
With which hot actress would you like to shoot a sizzling magazine cover with?
I am an introvert and shy person. Sizzling magazine covers are not my cup of tea. I have refused projects because it required me to kiss my co-star.
Which is your favourite perfume?
Tom Ford and Hermes
One TV actor whose personality you admire?
I think Ashish Sharma and Ronit Roy, who is in great shape for his age.
Which actresses would you follow on Instagram if you became active on social media?
Again, Scarlett Johansson and maybe Rekhaji if she got on Insta.
Vivian Dsena is one of the most successful actors on Indian Television. From his first show Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani to Shakti, all his shows have got great TRPs. The young man started off as a model before plunging into the world of acting. He is a sportsman at heart and plays football with the All Stars team. An injury has kept him out of the gym for some time. In fact, his weight gain has been the topic of discussion.
